2 questions-how do you keep your flat ironed hair from getting wavy/kinky again?? How can u keep it stick straight??
Also- i have peachy olive under-toned skin (warm skintone), natural hair is nearly black w/eyebrows to match-and blue/green/grey eyes-what hair colors or hi-lights would be best suited for me? I don't want any red, though -want to try something different.
Wavy, thick hair dilema?
For the first question :: Two words -- Paul Mitchell. Ok...make sure you wash your hair with shampoo AND conditioner. If you notice when you're in the shower, when you shampoo you don't feel any difference. But once you put conditioner in it...it becomes smooth and silky and straight. Do what I do...brush your hair before you get in, shampoo it good...wash it out. Put conditioner in your hair, wrap it in a bun and wash the rest of your body. At the END before you get out of the shower...bend over, have your head down, flip your hair in front of you and rinse the conditioner out with cold water. No worries about being cold because you'll only have your head bent down so the cold water will touch your hair. Cold water will help it (I don't remember why...but it does). After you get out pat it dry for a while with a towel and when your hair is still damp, put a pump of "Paul Mitchell smoothing || super skinny serum". The moment you put it on it will straighter your hair. Let it dry out and then flat-iron it. Afterwards put a LITTLE dab of super skinny serum again just to reduce fly-aways and to keep it straight after you flat-ironed it. VOILA! Paul Mitchell is kinda pricey ($17)...but its really worth it. One of the best in the market besides 'Chi' product.Trust me I was hesitant to buy it too..but it'll help.
2nd question: I have the same skin tone as you (I think) but I have medium brown eyes. I'm asian. My hair is naturally black too. I suggest brown hair color with honey blonde highlights. You can't go wrong. But you know what...the style right now is just regular jet black hair. But you know what color I LOVE that I can't seem to get yet??

But go to your regular hair stylist and have him suggest some stuff. They'll know best.
Good luck with both!

You can get your hair professionally straightened, that will last for a little while.
%26amp; you should probably get some natural looking brown highlights that would accent your skin tone.
Hope I helped! =)

try getting black lowlights. My hair is kinda the same way and it ended up looking really good. Also, try using sleek and straight shampoo and conditioner in addition to straightening your hair in the mornings.
Good luck on having good hair days!

hmmm...try some color to match your eyes for your highlights. It will get more people's attention to your eyes and your hair. I'm not going to lie the only thing you can do to keep wavy hair from going straight is hairspray. I have really wavy/curly hair and it bugs the crap out of me because i love to straighten it, but it just wont stay straight! I would say try to get a more professional straightener. They may be expensive but they last long and realy work.

Before you straighten your hair, I recommend you use protection against heat damage, it keeps your hair from getting dry; therefore, lessening the chances of it getting wavy/kinky, as you said. After straightening your hair, applying about 3-4 drops of gloss would make a HUGE difference. Try something that mentions frizz control. I recommend you also use shampoo and conditioner for straight hair. Little things make all the difference. And about your almost-black hair. I would really encourage getting honey colored highlights, or a dark-ash blonde. Don't do any color that is not ash in highlights, otherwise, you'll end up with a red-ish tint that will clash with your natural hair color. :)
Good luck!

1:before ironing your hair, add serum to keep it sleek for a longer time.
2: use frizz buster serum to keep it straight.:
