If you really want to, go to a salon, don't try it at home. It takes a lot of bleaching and dye to get that drastic of a change.

A professional can bleach it first, then add the dye to color.

This is really damaging to your hair, and they will have to use permanent dye to do it. Make sure this is what you want. If you don't like it, and try to strip it or dye it back, it's murder on your hair.

I wouldn't recommend it.

You would have to go to a professional to get good results. I think anything can be done...for a fee ;) Of course it would probably seriously damage your hair though :(

i would think that justbleach %26amp; color to blonde would work just fine,

it's going to be difficult...but if your hair is dyed right now you can get some stipper, yes this will turn it orange temperarily, but then you can dye it blonde immediatly afterwards, this may help. I had black hair for a while..but i just dyed it a couple diffrent times, a couple diffrent shades to get rid of it...it's very hard doing anything with black hair..

Don't do this at home! It is possible, but please go to a good salon, they will do the job and care for your hair and scalp along the way. A major change like this is a disaster in the making for a home effort, you need a professional.

first check your skin colour. if you are pale, you will get away with pretty much anything. if there is even a little bit of yellow or orange in your skintone, icy blonde shades will look ridiculous, honey or caramel blonde is your best bet. you will need to bleach your hair in two stages: first, use a pre-lightener. then, bleach your hair with normal hair bleach. you may need longer than it says on the pack if your hair is very dark, but be very careful. when dark hair is bleached, it changes as follows:

black-brown-orange-yellow-blonde.

if your hair is orange, you haven't left the bleach on long enough, but if you leave it on too long, it will damage your hair. i would reccomend going to a professional salon, at least the first time, where experienced stylists will be able to monitor the colour change and know how much time you need.

I tried this and sure enough got orange hair so I know what you are saying. I now FROST my hair, and you can get more than one frosting kit and it will appear mostly blonde. MAKE SURE you get the kit for people with brown hair to start with, because the one for blondes is not strong enough to color the dark hair. HOWEVER if you are outside a lot like I am, the blonde will start to go orange eventually and you will need to redo it.

you need to seek a professional. Bleach is nothing to mess with if you don't know what you are doing! Your hair must be in good shape to even consider bleaching. Good luck

If you don't mind your scalp burning for days, then I guess you should try it.

Can i Dye Blue-Black hair Blonde?

yes it can be done, but go to a professional, i did it at home and fried the parts of my hair i turned blonde. I had to bleach my hair 5 times to get it light blonde and get out all the orange. I had to get most of my hair cut off....which wasn't so bad cause the hairstyle i got was really cute! spiked in the back and chin length in the front.

Can i Dye Blue-Black hair Blonde?

yes it is possible but it will take a lot of time and bleach . you will have to bleach it at least three times before it comes out the right shade . and it will put alot of stress on your hair and scalp but like you said you are set on doing it . so make sure you get some cholesterol before you start to condition your hair after wards .

I used to have black hair and when i tried to go to a lighter color I bleached it. It left it really ugly and I couldn't leave the house. Haha It was awful. I would think that if you use bleach (without getting it on your scalp) you'd be able to die right over it after your hair dries. I'm not a professional hair person so don't put all your faith into that but I've done it before and my hair didn't fall out and I overcame that orangey color.

If you're quite set on it then it doesnt really matter what anyone tells you. lol. but in my opinion it would work. it may take more than one try before it gets the shade of blonde you want, but it can be done. good luck.

You would have to strip yout hair and then dye it, but you cant do that yourself you will have to go to the salon. Good luck with it! if you do try to do it whithout stripping it .. it will turn orange.

Can i Dye Blue-Black hair Blonde?

Sure u can! U need to "strip" the color out of your hair first, then u can color it watever u want. It seems to be a bit of a pain, but if you are determined you can do it with some help from some friends. U wont end up with orange hair either. Just be careful, and follow instructions so you dont burn your hair.

yes there is a way but the process is going to all but kill your hair. try to use redken 5in10 bleaching system, it is a professional product so you may have to got to a salon, you will most likely end up with brassy (orange) then you need to put a blue or green toner in it, this is all very touchy it is really bet to got to a salon. depending on how well your hair lifts you may need to put a gold toned color over the blond to help keep the color looking blond. a cap would be the best process because of the control, but it may not give you the streaky look you want. good luck

Okay I know you don't want to hear I don't recommend this..but I don't. I do hair professionally, and to get your hair from black to white pretty much, we would have to strip the color out of your hair, then lighten it, and then bleach it, but by the time we got to bleach it, it might be dead, and then your hair would look really bad, it would be very brittle and would break off. I am saying that you can do it, and it can be done....but you are going to have to have a professional do it. If you tried doing it at home, WAIT....DON"T DO IT AT HOME PERIOD.....That stuff from the store is torture for us. It does you NO good. But if you did, you would end up with orange or green or even blue hair, pending on our your hair accepts the color. Go to a professional.
