I have dyed my hair black, but the dye is still in and I want to bleach my hair, I'm going to wait till it comes out, but I think I might describe my face to see if you guys think it'll be okay, I have a roundish face, but it's slightly oval... if that makes any sense... I have freckles, but mainly around my nose, grrr. blue eyes, smallish lips, manly chin, haha.. and my cheeks are usually pinkish but go darker after I've been running and stuff....

I am also thinking of putting electric blue and hot pink in my hair somewhere...

It will make ruin it. I had to cut half my hair off and wait for the rest to grow out and get cut off. I should've cut my hair short, but I wouldn't do it.

It took almost 8 mo for all the bad to get cut off. And I'm still growing it out to as long as it was before.

I went drastic though. I went from black to bleach, platinum blonde hair. Becareful of the blonde choice. You said your face tends to have a pinkish tint sometimes. The blonde may bring out the red and make you look all blotchy.

Or if you are pale like me...you can look washed out and have to pile on the blush and eyeshadow to keep from looking odd.

The only make-up you should use at thirteen is lip-gloss-maybe a tinted color and some sunblock. Keep your skin flawless and fresh by not overdoing anything. You are young and can afford to not wear make-up. For hair I don't know if you are asking how you should cut it or style it. If you are asking about styling I would say wear it curly or straight with the ends curled or flipped out, even a ribbon as a headband would be cute.

You didn't say if your hair is straight or wavy or whatever, but my advice would be to either straighten it, curl it, scrunch it or wave it using plaits. It really changes how you look by changing the texture of your hair, and its easy to do.

As for make up, keep it light and simple. If you want to use foundation or concealer or whatever, only wear a very light amount and make sure it matches your skin.

Wear a light dusting of cream eye shadow, a light coat of mascara and eye liner if you like wearing it.

Then, for your lips, I recommend just using Vaseline, the stuff that comes in little tubs. It makes your lips soft and shiny and its easy to carry around, too.

Keep it simple. Accent your blue eyes. Use a very soft charcol shadow or a beige with a bit of shimmer. Go easy on it. A very light coat of mascara in brown or clear use a sensitive eyes formula for special occasions. I would try Almay. Try Clinique for a powder foundation. If your lucky enough to have good skin I woudn't bother putting on much foundation at your age but Clinique is a good one for young skin if you need one. If you decide to use a blush, use something very light in color. You want to accent , not look like you are trying to draw attention to the cheeks. I think Cover girl blushes have some good light color choices. I don't think I would bother much with it unless you are dressing up for a special event. Otherwise I guess I would just suggest a lip gloss with a bit of a shimmer. Don't start with lipstick yet, At 13, it is too dramatic and you can glosses well at your age. Probably something like Bonnie Bell or wet and Willd are just fine. If your hair is long, I would suggest loose soft curls and pretty clip or hair combs. You could leave a few stands of hair loose to frame your face. On hot summer days just use a scruncie and pull it up in a high ponie to get it off your face. If your hair is shorter just try experimenting with mouse and style the sides and let your highliights show off for you.

I also don't care if it turns my hair orange since I'll be dying over with a dark brown and I don't care if my hair is orange for a couple weeks in the mean time. My daughter is 3 years old, she black/white mixed. Her hair is very curly, dry, flyaway, and easily knotted. Her hair is not thick but she has a lot of hair. We've used everything from Pink Oil to LIV to grease (the blue magic and coconut ones) to hair lotion.....point is, we've tried a lot and nothing really works.

I refuse to put anything chemical on her hair so I'm not looking for those type of products. What else would work? i've figured she needs a good moisturizer but her hair just soaks it up and dries out again.

Being mixed race myself, I feel I'm in a position to answer this. First off, I hope you're not washing the hair too much, you should, at most, be washing it once a week ideally ten days to two weeks- do not use a shampoo which contains alcohol as this dries the hair out further. Every time you wash it you should give the hair a deep conditioning treatment e.g. hot oil, put a shower cap or similar over the hair and run a blow dryer over it, this enables the hair to really soak up the oil. Then style as normal. Grease the scalp and use a product on the hair. Liv is actually a really good product, it's surprising it hasn't tamed the hair. I've never rated pink oil moisturizer. Carrot Oil by organics is a good one.

Another tip- you can't treat this hair like it's European hair. Don't leave the hair out- even if it looks cute- she won't thank you when it's time to comb it (speaking from experience here)! Learn how to cornrow or do little cute plaits, that way it will be neat and won't get as dry.

One more tip, you should really be buying products that are designed for kids...adult products can have things like placenta extract for protein. This isn't really something you want to use on a 6 year old. Liv is fine/ carrot oil should be fine.

i'm glad u asked that question cuz i've always asked myself that question. and guess wat? i've found the answer...the texture of your hair is not necessarily genetic, it can be changed naturally. the reason why some people have that smooth, soft hair and other have coarse, tightly curled hair is because their body makes different amounts of two very important things. i figured this out while i was taking genetics class in college.

if u notice, hair texture doesn't neccessarily go with race although most time it does as more caucasians, asians, etc have smooth, soft, shiny hair. and also i don't want to go into the fact that indians are really black ppl with straight hair(if u know ur history and about the dravidians who then later mixed with the aryans which led to the hindu caste system in india...also, have u ever heard of the untouchables?) and not to mention the aboriginals in australia.

so we can see that hair texture is not a race thing its biological and totally based on diet. yes, it's totally based on diet. ur diet over a period of time affects ur hair especially when two certain nutrients are present. everything u eat affects not only ur hair but ur reproductive organs. if a group of ppl have a diet rich in certain nutrients, it will show up in a man's semen and a woman's reproductive organs. if a mans semen is rich in two nutrients and a woman's reproductive organs are rich in two nutrients then their offspring will have soft, smooth hair. it's that simple. their child's body will continue to produce those nutrients. it's really simple to have a super smart, strong, healthy baby through diet.

also, let me point out that there is no genes that makes someone hair straight or curly. also there is no genes that makes someone skin black, white, yellow, pink, red or blue. genes only contain information that tells your body to produce alot of melanin, jus a little melanin or somewhere in between base on what u inherit from your parents. For example, if a baby is mixed (say, one parent is black and the other white), then half of the genes he/she inherits will tell its body to produce a lot of melanin while the other half will tells its body to produce little or no melanin閳ヮ洑o balance out the baby will come out somewhere in between or what we would call brown. (although it閳ユ獨 more complicated than that i'm just trying not to use genetic terms such as incomplete dominance and polygenic traits, etc. which some ppl may not understand) but that's what would happen in simpler terms though. and the same goes for hair. so in essence, you can easily change the color of your skin to lighter or darker based on what u put in ur body which will then tell your body to produce less or more melanin. if u notice, there's alot of ppl living in hot climates for countless generations and still have light-skin while others have dark skin. it's really just based on their diet. don't get me wrong, the sun will give u a tan, i'm just saying overall their diet will prevail.

what's really funny is that ppl make a big deal out of hair texture and skin color when they both can be easily manipulated through diet. and it's also funny that these two superficial things is what ppl use to put someone in a certain race. let me also point out that race is not biological it is a social construct. there is no such thing as a black race, white race, asian race, hispanic race(although i use those terms in my writing, it's only for differentiation purposes). There is only one race閳?the human race. the physical traits that make so called "races" different is very small. for example, humans and chimps shared 98.6% of their DNA and look at the profound difference. in fact, only about .01% of genes make humans phenotypically different from each other. so blacks, whites, asians, etc share 99.99% of the same genetic material. also there's more genetic variation within one population("races") as opposed to two different population(or "races") of ppl. so the things that make us different are trivial and superficial looking at it from a genetic point of view. we can inter-breed and produce fertile offsprings etc, etc so that goes to prove we're all the same. And not to mention the fact that in organ transplants, ppl from different 閳ユ笧aces閳?can be a good match and a good donor for a organ transplant. We are all the same inside and out.

i got bored of the plain black and decided to start dying my hair again, ive dyed my hair myself for years. i bought a packet of loreal quick blue powered bleach and some 40 volume developer and i wanted to try to achieve dark blonde streaks on my black hairusing a cap. the streaks came out a nice med golden brown. i waited a couple of days and decided to lighten my whole base. i used loreal excellence hilift hilights in the ash blonde color and using a 30 vol developer. the thing is now my whole head is a med golden brown color with the hilights not that noticeable so i decided to restreak my hair using the quick blue bleach. it came out a dark maybe slightly orange blonde streaks with a med golden brown base. i heard that i could get a blue/violet base toner.would do i to get it a nice blonde color. what would you think the result of that be and also for my own knowledge i would like to know any good lighteners that could bring black hair to the yellow stage but still be gentle.

The condition of your hair is at stake and you are on the verge of having major breakage.

Go to Sally's Beauty %26amp; Barber Supply and purchase a bottle of Wella Regenal. Put it on your hair, cover it with a plastic cap (cheap hotel shower cap will suffice), wait 20 minutes and rinse well.

Regenal is the only product on the market that will normalize the PH level of your hair.

(Use it every time you color your hair and in place of a conditioner. Do this before proceeding with any more color applications.)

While you're at Sally's purchase a bottle of Wella White Lady (T-18) Toner. Mix according to directions (20 vol. only) and apply it to the orange areas.

Without seeing your hair, it is difficult to advise you correctly, but maybe this will help.

Remember that you are going to meet with professionals. But you are meeting with professionals in an art field, and the atmosphere is usually very laid back.

Wear your favorite jeans, some boots, if it's winter, and a cute shirt. They will probably take your coat, so wear whatever you feel comfortable in. I suggest pulling your hair back and wearing NO makeup except possibly some tinted lip gloss.

It all goes back to the fact that you are seeing a professional at the interview. They know how to look past all the dressing and see what potential you have. Besides, if you get the gig or a contract, they are totally going to redress you and do your hair and makeup the way they want, so let them see the true you. That's who they are interested in!

don't wear anything too revealing but you want to show off your figure so fitted clothes are best. Definately wear heels, in case they want you to walk, and make sure your hair is simple ( loose curls, straight, or tied back )and out of your face. Minimal accessories, maybe something special that shows your personality, or something that will make them remember you...in a good way.

I would wear something that shows I have a sense of style, and my fashion can be flexible, cause ya never noe what designers are gonna stick you in. Wear something that expresses your personality, like it your super perky or something wear like bright colors. A cute idea would be a grey cardigan (a bit oversized) over a Bright colored teeshirt. with like a cute cap/hat. Also Bright colored top w/black jeans. I just love brights, so thats how i would express my personality.

If you are going for a model interview, you want to showcase yourself in the best way possible. Models are like a blank canvas for designers.

Clean and simple.

Pull your hair back away from your face. And make sure your clothing doesnt take away from you. You are selling YOURSELF not the clothes you are wearing. Dark Jeans and a nice blouse. That is what I recommend.

opt for jeans or semi-smart trousers and a simple top. Heels are helpful - many girls find it much easier to model in heels than in flats. If you are not used to wearing heels, try kitten heels. Just keep it natural for your hair. maybe a quif or something. or just wear it out. nothing OTT

it would. i actually have black and really extremely bright red. i have been all colors. they all look good with black!

however, you cannot get these colors once you color your hair black. because the hair needs to be pre lightened to achieve these color. you need to go to a salon and have this done if you insist on it. you can keep up the fun color with manic panic after it is done because it will do nothing to the black hair.

just remember i have made thousands of dollars off of people that think they want black hair and then when they are tired of it they can't get it out and they ruin their hair. it is by far the hardest color to correct.

you need to make sure you have permission from your parents and by your school. there are a lot of schools that will not allow it and then you would be in a big mess since you can't change it.

yes dying the ends looks really cute, Ive done it for my daughter.You have to bleach out the ends and then add the color. It will dry out the ends pretty good so use a colored hair conditioner. Good luck and go for it...its fun.

black hair is very VERY difficult to reverse. I dyes mine when i was in hs. Make certain you want to have this prior to dying yr hair.

That being said, totally. I think you should stick to 2 colors rather than three though. I have always been partial to pink %26amp; black. I would suggest dying yr hair pink and putting black highlights on with a cap. That way, if you dont like the black, it will give you a little more flexibility with changing it back.

I used to use manic panic to dye my hair bright red. Id bleach my hair out on day one, and dye it red on day 2.

OVER TIME, THIS WILL DAMAGE YOUR HAIR IMMENSELY...but it came out a really pretty color

I would not recommend that.....my 13 year old dyed her hair black and she is pale, it looks terrible. She can't wait for her hair to grow out now. She had highlights put in also, they didn't turn out so well. I would really think about it before you do it, if you don't like it then it will be hard to "fix". It was black and I wanted to make it lighter w/o the chemicals so I bought Sun-In w/ lemon and all you do is spray it lightly on your hair (don't forget your layers!) and just hang out in the sun or chill for at least 10-30 minutes and then rinse it off, it works really well.

Balck is really hard to get out of hair once it's in there. I think you need a deeper shade of dark brown definitely not an ash brown 'cause it'll make you lookwashed out, and not a red brown 'cause it'll clash with the blue. If the blue is only going to be temporary or you are going to change it again after it's in for any reason I would use some temporary type of extension that you can clip in or something...

I'm usually not a fan of punky styles like that, but for some people it just works. For you, I think it'll just work. However, stay away from the racoon eyes if your hair is black, because even though it'll bring out your eyes, the dark eyes against the dark hair will make your skin tone look worse against the hair. You can still stay dark on the eyeshadow (maybe a blue-black, since you'll have blue streaks), just not as intense or the hair won't look as good as I think it'll look otherwise.

Just keep in mind that black hair dye is really difficult to get out. So dying it so dark is kind of a commitment. If you want your dye to wash out in one shampoo, then use a colored styling product like hair mascara, colored spray, or colored gel. You can find these at Walmart or Sally's beauty supply. The sprays should be in just about every halloween section right now, and all of these products are between 2 and 6 dollars.

If you want your dye to come out in a few shampoos then try manic panic which can also be found at Sally's or Spencers. If these are what you have in mind, you will need to bleach your hair for them to show up if your hair is darker than a very light brown. Bleaching is permanant and to change it back you would have to dye your hair back to the color you had before. Unless you are a natural blonde, colored styling products are MUCH easier and will come out in just one wash

Just keep using conditioner and shampoo to get it out. Then go to a salon and have it dyed. Just don't go to a salon to get the color REMOVED because they use bleach to get the color out and that damages your hair EXTREMLY.

I dyed my hair black but then had to get the color removed and so I went to a very upscale salon and the bleach they used to remove the color really destroyed my hair, I reallyyy regret it because my hair hasn't been the same since. If you go to get it re-dyed I recommend Redken salons. They are professionals and deal with celebrities and models so they're products are AMAZING.

First, call the 1-800 number on the Colorsilk box. They have experts there who can advise what to do. Secondly, what Ive done, is go to your nearest Beauty supply store. Buy a color stripper that will lift all the color off your hair. Next, cover it in something rich and brown like a medium chocolate. (Check with the women who work there for one that will be gentler than others) Or even a dark blond, light brown, golden brown, etc. Dont go black or too dark. Then, get a heavy duty conditioning treatment, leave it on for like 10 minutes, use your hairdryer on low, the heat will help it seal in. Even wrap it in plastic or something and sleep in it.

And remember, next time, stay away from ash tones! They are the work of the devil and should be left to professionals! And I agree with the first Answerer: upgrade from Colorsilk. Its crapola and unpredictable. Spend an extra 2 or 3 bucks and get a good one. Im loving the Revlon Colorist right now. It lasts ages and the color-tint conditioner makes it last and stay glossy. And to the 2nd answerer: dude its haircolor. You dont need a degree in advanced chemistry to do it. Just a little experience and a handy backup plan. I started dyeing at 10yrs old. Look! No degree needed!

Why would a salon at THIS point NOT be an option!!!!!!!!!!!!! You should have gone there in the first place.

They have a knowledge about the chemicals in hair dye and how it reacts to certain hair. that is why over the counter dye jobs always look tacky, and unprofessional.

I can't stress enough to get to that salon so they can fix your hair. Chemicals are weird, its not easy to just cover over hair dyes. Adding 2 dyes won't get a combination of both results, it will be completely different!!

And i know this because i'm majoring in chemistry with a double major in organic chemistry. also pilot lessons but that dosen't have anything to do with hair chemistry.

Right now if you try and dye your hair a deep brown its probably going to come out black. Because your hair is over processed. You need to take a break for a few day's, get a extremely good conditioner and a PH balanced shampoo. Personally I use Pantene pro-v restoratives conditioner with pert-plus (because its pH balanced) Condition the crap out of your hair for the next few day's. I get in the shower wash my hair right away and then leave the conditioner on while I do everything else. Once you've got your hair a little healthier then go and get "Loreal Couleur exsperte" hair color. Its a 2 stage kit that you can get in just about any color. Its the best hair color that I've found for fixing hair booboo's (trust me I've had a lot of them) At this point its probably going to be better to go with a dark auburn than any other color. Once you've colored keep conditioning the your hair like crazy. Otherwise your hair is going to start breaking from all the processing. You might want to go get a trim when your done to... it will help your hair look healthier.

Whatever you do....DO NOT dye your hair bright blonde. I think that looks awful when girls do that! It looks so unnatural. If you do dye your hair at all, just make sure it is natural looking. theres also "pearl black" which is just regular black that shines a lot, "purple black" which is a purply red sheen and "natural black" that is dull and doesnt look died[boring and you probably wont notice much of a difference].

the blue black is by far the hardest to get out, but lasts a lot longer (an its the nicest).

Use a womens hair rinse, i dye mine allllll the time and i use loreal preference (i think) it has a pale girl with short blue black hair, walmart carries it (its like13$ cnd), that dye is the best in my opinion, and ive used probably ever black rinse possible.

I have very short hair and I dyed it blue/black that Sally's Beauty Supply recommended the powder formula. I dyed it about 3-4 months ago. It's now grown out and I dyed it just over a month ago a reddish tone. It didn't do anything but dye my roots a light reddish tone. I want to lighten my hair up without using harsh chemicals or messing up my hair. I dye my mom's hair all the time and know what to do most of the time except when it comes to my hair. It just never turns out right. I bought this hair removal kit from Walmart and did the test strand but it didn't even take out any color. I want to purchase something from Sally's Beauty Supply and do it myself but with my hair so dark I think if I use a bleaching kit it's going to take like 2 maybe 2-1/2 hours to remove any color. Well, I just got 2inch blue tips done on my hair...and I so do not like it! See, my natural hair color is black and the blue tips turned out to be like a blue black and it blends in somewhat and I just don't like it; it looks funny. Okay, I have the same colouring as you and I wear it every day abnd it looks ace. I do it like this-

1-put white on the top of your lid, right from the inner corner of your eye across the lid, don't go above the crease in your lid though.

2-put the same white underneath your bottom lashes, starting from the very inner corner where your tear duct is.

3-put a biege on your top and bottom lids, starting halfway across the lid and going outwards, blend well into your skin tone at the edges.

4-apply blue eyeshadow underneath yuor bottom lashes, leaving about a quarter of your eye white, on the inside near your tear duct.

5-apply the blackest eyeliner you can find(NOT kohl) from the outside of underneath your bottom lashes to approx two thirds across your lid. Put it on your bottom eyelid rim.

6-apply same eye liner across the entire top lid, as close to lash line as possible, as thin as you can, extend beyond the length of your eye in a slight 'flick'.

7-apply liquid black eye liner over the top of the top eye liner only(only do this if you are good at doing liquid eyeliner or it will just look a mess)

8-apply a purpley brown on the top lid, starting in the crease of your eye, half across the lid, and going out towards the edge of your face. Make sure you blend this well, and you do not cover the white or beige entirely. The other colours should sort of fade into each other, so there are no harsh lines.

9-Apply lashings of the blackest mascara you can find, wipe it off on a tissue first, and let it dry between coats. Seriously, spend a bit of time on the mascara and it will make such a huge difference.

10-place a folded tissue underneath your bottom lashes, so you can apply mascara to the bottom lashes without covering your face in it.

11-Off you go looking hot hot hot!

I do this everyday and all that with foundation takes me ten minutes, but I have been wearing full war paint everyday for 15 years!

You can get hair color that you can streak into your hair for an evening and then wash right out the next morning. I personally think if you have red lips you shouldnt have too much eye makeup becuase it can start to look clownish. You should do one or the other. Either put the focus on your eyes or on your lips. But seriously, not both. And you sound like you are going for a more glamorous look so I recommend you do the red lips with lighter eyes, especially because it is a hot trend right now. Well it depends on your look, a beehive hairdo hences a retro look so retro makeup would look awesome. Im tallking about beautiful sheer beige or white eyeshadow, black liquid liner, shimmery pale mauvy or pink lips with a nice blush like Pink Poole from Lancome(sparkly pink that brings out the glow not too bright). May I suggest you have a makeup trial, with the makeup artist.

Be guided by them, its there job to do it professionally and they have a huge range of foundations, eye and cheek colours at their disposal, they will chose the best colours to suit your face and eyes.

If I have a professional do my makeup, I will always have a trial just to see what the colours chose, and I can get my family and friends opinion too.
