My cairn terrier's skin is turning blue,dry,and flaky.anyone have an idea why?

he is a cairn/chihuahua mix around a yr old and his skin (not his hair)is turning blue.it is only blue in a few patches.it is also very dry and flaky looking.id appriciate any info.thanks

If he's only a year old, usually their skin changes colors and will look kinda pink, dark, or black in spots. But it could be a skin infection or something. Have your vet take a look at him.

Definetly check with your vet. It might be a problem with the heart or circulation system. Do her gums look healthy? What's his heart rate and breathing rate? Does he have a fever? Just check with your vet.

That's one of the first signs of a problem. What are you feeding him?
