Best way to dye black hair?

I want to add some crazy colors to my hair maybe purple or blue, but I don't want to bleach it first (I already dye it black and relax it). What is the best permant hair color for me?

DONT do it now .. wait till the colored hair grows out and then dye it OR if you want to dye it now then go see a proffesional and tell him that ur hair is dyed ... :)

Since you have black hair you are going to have to lighten it by bleaching the hair. After that you would add the color. For the bleahing if you have never done it I would have a pro do it. They can lighten it just enough for you to add the crazy color. If you do it and not sure how then you may end up with bright white hair that breaks and falls out.

if your hair is black you will need to:

1. bleach it (there is whiting kits like at hot topic and i'm not sure if it's bleach or some other chemical take a look though)

2. or get it professionally "stripped"

3. wait for your own hair to grow in, although it will take a long time

if you try to color it now (ANY color not just blue/black, unless if you bleach) it will probably come out so dark that you can barely see it...
