Makeup colors for pale skin, gray-blue eyes?

I have pale skin, gray-blue eyes, dark brown hair with blond hi-lights? I'm just starting to tap into makeup and I need some help!

The most important factor in choosing makeup colors is determining your skin tone. Here's how to determine your skin tone.

Warm skin tone:

1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear green.

2. Gold jewelry is more flattering than silver jewelry.

Cool skin tone:

1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear blue.

2. Silver jewelry is more flattering.

Look at your wardrobe and hold up a few items in different colors against your face. Which ones appear more flattering to you in a mirror with natural sunlight? Which colors are you drawn to?

If you are not sure, ask one or two trusted friends or family members who's style you admire.

As for color palettes:

1. Earth colors are considered to be more neutral and natural

e.g. taupe or brown eyeshadow, soft blush (Nars Orgasm), lip colors that are like your own but with a little oomph (Revlon Lip Super Lustrous Gloss - Cherries in the Glow)

2. Jewel colors are considered to be more dramatic

e.g. blue or purple or green or shimmery eye shadows, black eyeliner, bold blush, deep burgundy or bright pink lip colors

You can choose from either palette as long as the tones are flattering and the intensity isn't too harsh for you.

You should start w/ a soft, greyish taupe eyeshadow with brown eyeliner for daytime and a shimmery champagne w/ black eyeliner for evening. Soft lavenders might work too.

Sheer lipsticks that enhance your natural lip color would be easier to find.

I have fair skin and gray blue eyes too and I find that using brown eyeliner makes my eyes pop and appear much larger and more importantly much much bluer! I use a light rose colored blush and shades of brown eye shadow...

Blue-Green, Browns, Pinks, and Black %26amp; Gray. I would wear white maybe occasionally. Don't put the blues and browns on really dark, I think the Pinks and Oranges would look really good on you and look good with your hair. It depends on your clothes mostly, like are they preppy, tom-boyish, or gothic, or normal teen style. Preppy in mostly the pink and orange. The tom-boyish would be blues/blue-green. Gothic would be blacks and grays. Normal you could wear just about any color just make sure it matches with you outfit. That'f for eye-shadow. For lip gloss maybe pink or clear. And lipstick is your decision I don't wear lip-stick so I know nothing about it. For skin color, you should test some or compare to your skin color. Don't get powder/ as long as you put it over foundation. I would suggest don't wear bronzer, cuz if you mess up you have to re-do your whole face. For blush I would suggest a light pink/red. And wear eye-liner with the color of your outfit. The white eye-liner looks really cool but don't wear it too often. And if you have long and full eyelashes you could probably pass on the mascara. I wear a whole binch though because I have small thin eye-lashes. Well I hope this helped. 閳绢櫄he American Idiot閳?~Luv Megan~

browns are always a good bet for blue eyes...A subtle look for day would be brown eyeliner just on the bottom and maybe two colors one for base and one for highlighting on the lid and ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS two or three coats of black mascara ...A more for dramatic night look I would recommend adding a little black eyeliner (liquid) On the top close to the lashline and and another darker brown for contouring for a Smokey look...another great tip for a night look is false lashes they make your eyes really pop!

I hope I helped : )
